Founded and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1993, Telehop has grown into one of the largest alternative telecommunications providers to residential and business customers.

Telehop strongly believes in giving back to the community that has supported our business for so many years. We have supported many programs, events and organizations and continue to do so. Here are some organsiations that we have actively supported.

Markham Islanders

Being one of the most elite organizations in minor hockey the Markham Islanders offers an opportunity for aspiring hockey players to play at any level ranging in age. From A to AAA level the Islanders organization is a fun filled hockey experience that cannot be matched anywhere in the GTHL.

Founded by Randy and Sylvia Jacobs the Markham Islanders are one of the oldest and most respected organizations in minor hockey. Known and respected for its high quality coaching and competitiveness, players in the organization have the furthered opportunity to graduate through the system into a top class junior A hockey team and even a scholarship to a top US College.

Telehop has been a proud sponsor of Midget AAA hockey team, the Markham Islanders for many years now and continues to wish all the players and organization members the best of luck with everything ahead.

St. Stephen's Community House

St. Stephen's Community House is a multi-service social agency that has been "creating opportunities and strengthening communities" in downtown west Toronto since 1962.

St. Stephen's makes a difference in lives of more than 25,000 people a year and assist the most vulnerable members of our community - low income families, children, marginalized youth, homeless people, isolated seniors, people at risk of contracting HIV/AISA, those who are unemployed, and newcomers to Canada. Telehop has been a proud sponsor of the Global Divas event, put on by the St. Stephen's Community House for many years and continues to support this wonderful association and commends all it's members on the much-needed support that it is providing.

Telehop & United Way of Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge

On June 2nd the United Way of Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge had its Divot Day Golf Tournament in efforts to raise additional funds for the charity. Telehop became part of the event by way of an affinity program built specifically for the charitable organization.

For all United Way of Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge members that sign up on the Telehop One Plus Plan, Telehop will donate a percentage of all calls made, back to the organization. It's an excellent program whereby there is a win-win situation for all members of the charity. Through this affinity program, the United Way will have the ability to gain consistent funding from Telehop month after month, and members can be active donors through joining the program. In addition to giving back to the community, the members also enjoy rock bottom per minute rates worldwide. In addition to the monthly donations, Telehop has offered all United Way of Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge members 100 free minutes of long distance to anywhere in North America in their initial month.

In addition one lucky winner from the tournament walked away with six months of free long distance compliments of Telehop.

United Way is a registered charitable organization with a common goal of caring. People like you offering a hand to people in need. By helping people in our community, we are changing lives.
